At what age do people generally start to be considered too old for the swinging lifestyle, and does this vary based on personal preferences, community norms, or physical and emotional factors?

Would you consider "old" to be more about a number or how a person feels and functions?

I’d add! Old could be seen as a state of mind. I know 65 year olds that live more active and so called youthful lives than some 40 year olds I know. “Young at heart” is definitely a thing.

It's definitely more about how people feel and function. I've had fun experiences with men in their early/mid 50s who looked/acted much younger, and then met men in their early 40s who looked/seemed older and more shagged out 🤣

I am less hung up on age than I used to be. There are other much more important things. But I do have a limit, that's just personal preference. If they've too old for me it doesn't mean they're too old for everyone else.

Defining old and defining too old for swinging are very different. Some old people are extremely hot, beautiful and sexual. Some young people are not, and have extremely low sex drives & lack passion & sexyness.

I feel old some days, within 5 or so years I’ll be past the age where the majority of women here would set their age pref, but why should that bother me? Numbers mean nothing, many women break their own rules anyway & there’s still plenty of women looking for older , I focus on the ones that I’m compatible with .

I don’t think things should be so set, I’m personally a lot more fluid. This is just my opinion. But it should go down to you as a decision making individual.

I’m due to meet a more mature couple this week, he’s 57, she’s 65. Absolutely stunning at 65 though that would make a lot of 30 year old jealous.

I suppose in one respect it's retirement age, nowadays a lot of older people are fitter than our parents or grandparents were.

So maybe it's defined on how we feel.

Old injuries ache more each year, joints need a few extra rubs to get them circulating and that youthful complection of yesteryear seems to fade ever more.

There's no shame in being old, it has it's disadvantages for sure but you get free prescriptions and a bus pass 🥳 and it jolly well beats the alternative

I'm definitely fitter than my maternal grandparents who both died in their 60s.

I hope to be like my dad who is only recently slowing down, he'll be 98 soon.

If you look after yourself, enjoy sex, meeting new people, happy in your skin, just keep going and give drama queens, the delusional and timewasters a wide berth, they suck the life out of you and use up your precious time.
