"Because I feel like I’m being dim and that’s entirely possible. What is the point of the ‘Reply in forum’ button? We’re always having to say to people “Use the ‘reply + quote’ button” and, if we want to just post a stand-alone message, there’s the button at the bottom of the thread ‘Post a new message’. And of course we can message privately (which should probably be removed as well, but that’s for a different thread). Surely the ‘Reply in forum’ button is unnecessary and confusing for newbies.
