Hi friends I’m looking for advice on a serious and sensitive subject. If you suspect you have been sexually abused what do you do and how would you be taken seriously?

Sorry to hear that, OP. I'll add another plea to report it to the police.

Hi OP,

Ideally, report to the police but understandably not everyone is ready to do that straight away or ever. Do you have someone you trust that you can talk to and that can be around to support you through this?

In addition to the above, see if you can talk to someone. Make sure you're ok in yourself.

"In addition to the above, see if you can talk to someone. Make sure you're ok in yourself. "

I believe this happened several times, I’m ok in myself, the last time it happened was a week ago, I did take pics of the marks and bruises when I came round. What I find difficult to understand and is that the person I believe to have done this is the person I love and the one that is supposed to love me.

I know this sounds a bit clinical, but the quicker after a suspected assault you report it to the police, the better the evidence they can recover from you.

Like others have said the police are the best bet. Or... if you don't feel comfortable reporting to the police just yet. Contact a charity or a support line.

" Coming around" suggests Dr*gging in which case, as others have said, please go to the police. My in box is always open if you need a chat

A charity sounds a good starting point, I didn’t know this was available thank you for the advice everyone. I feel like I’ve done something wrong and it’s hard to accept

You are very welcome. There's plenty of charity. And you did nothing wrong mate it isn't your fault okay.

I can't DM due to filters. But I'm sure one of the lovely ladies on here can DM you and help you with any charities or support networks who deal with SA.

You haven't done anything wrong, it may be hard to shake that feeling but this isn't your fault. Try to be kind to yourself ❤️

Hi OP,

I remember your previous thread regarding relocation advice.

I do believe that speaking to a charity (plenty available via Google search) will get you the help and support required to get through all of this. You have a great deal to process, which must feel overwhelming. So please do connect with the support services available to you to put in place the help you need.

Well done on reaching out to us. We're all here to support you whenever you need it.

Big hugs

Mrs

There are various options open to you.

Report it to the police.

Some substances only stay in the body a short time so the sooner you go the quicker they can take samples.

Men can also use Clares law to request a disclosure of someones past to see if the person you suspect has a history of doing it to someone else.

There is also various helplines for men.

The NHS site give advice who you can contact.

You have not done anything wrong and you need support to deal with this. If you are not ready to report it to the police, you can speak these wonderful people.

https://247sexualabusesupport.org./uk/

They are available 24/7. There is a free-phone number and a free online chat service.

Please do not go through this on your own. Even if you are not sure where to start or what to say, they will never think you are wasting their time and they will never judge you.
