Just had a knocker on - wasn't a valentine's suprise but a young man attempting to sell usual items out of a sports bag (sponges, car cloths, sink plugs, the like) and the usual guff of being a freshly released convict attempting to make amends and start afresh.

Never seen them for years, had it been made illegal or have I just dreamt that?

Seemed somewhat annoyed I didn't want to buy anything! And "its fine if you don't have cash, I've a card machine!...."

I get them round here occasionally, but their wares are far less legally obtained.

Use that "card machine", and about 2 hours later the bank calls you regarding a sudden unexpected withdrawal of a large amount of cash
