Who isn’t big into Valentine’s Day?

I never have been, whether in a relationship or out of it. Figure if you want to show or tell someone you love them, or wanna bonk them, or whatever, you can do that any day!

Am I missing something about it?

Missed out the amount of money companies make out of it, for mainly cheap tat that lands in landfill. Can you tell I love it?

I’m not when I’m single

I like it to be acknowledged, but no need for meals out or OTT declarations of love.

Happy with a kiss and a wank over my tits.

I agree, don't need a specific day to show someone you care about them. You should be making them feel loved every day and feeling loved in return. Rather than someone value me all year round than buy me dinner and chocolates one day a year.

I was never into it. Prefer random share the love days.

And I dont see why it has to be all about the woman 🤷‍♀️ Its a day geared at showering the woman with gifts. There are 2 people in a relationship.

I'm not overly big on Valentine's Day. My favourite holiday is probably Halloween if I had to choose.

On reflection, as i’ve matured, I feel it was a competitive thing amongst fellow women. Be it in School, or at work, the cards, the floral deliveries. Just a showing off thing.

In reality you should know you’re loved, feel loved, secure and happy in a relationship, on any day, not just the 14th Feb.

Romantic gestures are nice, but it’s the sincerity that matters most.

Where I come from, we’ve always called this day “Dia del amor y la amistad” “Day of Love and Friendship”

So from a very early age we learned to give a little token of appreciation to our friends.

I don’t know of luckily or unluckily, but I’ve never been involved with partners who make grand sweeping romantic gestures, they are more of a long-haul every day showing love thing… so the day has always been just another day for me. ❤️

I am not big on it btw. It was fun when younger. I now go with the flow

That suggest those two things aren't compatible? My experience is the people who don't bother marking 'special' days (Birthdays, Christmas, etc) are less likely to make any effort at other times, or only make an effort when it suits them.

It's ended up far too commercial.

Just a chance for flower shops and restaurants to up their prices.

.

I don't see the romance in being told to do it on a specific day.

But you're not forced to consume anything🤷‍♂️

Endure is a better choice of word than consume. And in which case yes we are forced to endure many, but yes we are all individuals.

Pretty much the same, but only commercialised in recent years. There's a place near us, Llanddwyn Island that people like to visit. It's beautiful in it's own right, but the lore is fun.

Also Welsh love spoons! That's not just a statement🤣

It's a pile of bollocks really, isn't it?

I love love. Love romance, wank myself silly over romantic gestures, words, literature, swoon at new relationship energy.

But Valentine's is something I've never quite got. Do you know what is nice? Celebrating other kinds of love today. Like friendship. Telling people how much they mean to you. Having a really great wank.
