in my/our room? Or any kind of beverage really.

If someone asked that, would you think it's code for sex? Would you ask someone that as a more erm, polite form of fancy a fuck?

How do you "move" things on?

Erm... If someone asked me that, I'd probably genuinely think they meant a coffee or a drink

A coffee in my room sounds a bit odd

Which room?

Bathroom, kitchen, bedroom?

3rd rock from the sun

I had a lass I was talking to when on holiday say that to me and I said I was having another drink in the bar and I'd see her the next day.

Totally didn't get that she was coming on to me.

Never really spoke to me after that

Saw her with 2 other guys in the next week before I flew home

These days I assume it’s an invitation to consume a hot beverage.

I’d kinda hope that if someone wants sex with me, that they say something along the lines of “we should fuck”

If someone invited to the hotel room for a drink I would take it as a 75% chance of 'sexy time'

Unless her grandma is in the room when we arrive

Yes Joe! That's exactly how I'd see it. Always have.

Do you regularly drink in your bathroom? Might be missing out on something here.

No - my place, hotel room etc. You get the idea now (I hope!).

I often take a cuppa when I have a bath as I read a book.

But….in all honesty I guess it would be the next step of the evening

I’d wonder why we’re having coffee in a room?

When I was a student and hopelessly stupid, I walked a bohemian lady I had a little bit of a thing for home after a little party. She invited me in for coffee. I said I didn't like coffee. I have spent years kicking myself for being such an idiot (not that I'm saying sex was definitely on, but who knows what might have happened?)

I think if you're asking for coffee the it's literally we are on a swingers site so I think if your at someone's house then you can be as forward as you wish ie stripping as you head to the bedroom

I'd be thinking 50/50 on if it's the actual beverage or they wanna tumble on the sheets 🤣

If they were genuinely, truly and undoubtedly offering me a coffee how else could they ask? In what other manner? Therefore I would assume it really really was for a coffee and I would be expecting coffee accordingly. ☕

I would expect coffee.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I’d immediately ask them what brand of coffee they are serving and at what exact temperature.

One simply cannot be drinking any old Hoi polloi stuff… 😜

Is this a thing then? Wanna come back to mine for a coffee?

Would you like to come up for a drink means possibility of nookie.

Come up for a coffee sounds like a coffee to me. My response being I don't drink coffee.

If I want to move things along, I ask them to come for a drink.

What a shame we can't just say what we mean, "can you come upstairs and let me ride your vagina, in a manner more vigorous than Wagner's ride of the Valkyries?"

Body language - giving and reading

I haven't overstepped the mark yet, but what I don't know 100% is if I have ever been nearer to the mark than I thought

Offered that and I would expect a nice cuppa and nothing else. I'm kind of oblivious. If they mean something else I need to be told.

The Deep Dark Woods

The best one I had was when I had invited a couple over for the first time, I live in a flat where my living room has a door directly into my bedroom, the girl said she liked my bedsheets and I asked if she wanted to take a closer look it was the only way I could think to move things along haha

The night I met my husband I invited him back into my house for coffee. He had given me a lift home.

He left in the morning, extremely tired but wearing a huge smile and with my phone number
