I was wondering what admin do to protect genuine members on this site...

I've come across numerous profiles, using fake photos. I've reported some one them and provided clear evidence (including links) but nothing has happened to the fake profile.. or the other profile that has clearly given a fake verification to the fake profile.

The fake profile that I reported is a supporter, so is it that money is more important than deleting fake profiles?

A quick google image search, clicking the little camera in the search bar and then pasting the link of the image from this site will often give the orignal image and I've caught out plenty of fakes that way.

I've been conned plenty of times on here, a feel a little let down that I now have to take fake hunting into my own hands... and when reported, nothing is done.

Admin - feel free to contact me if you want a few examples of people using fake/copyrighed images.

If you keep spotting all these fakes, why are you complaining that you are being conned so often?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, there is a reason why fakes and timewasters are a huge problem for some members and not to others. Blaming the site is pointless, taking responsibility for how you search and filter is the only answer.

Fake profiles.. pic collectors.. people claiming to be someone they're not... time wasters...

So many fake profile pics are approved.

So what you are saying is that the websites verification and admin approval of photos are completely pointless then?

I have only recently worked out how to check the images using google and some of the fake profiles have a whole load of verifications but after spending time, you can see that they're all interlinked. You'd have no reason to suspect that they were fake... I assume admin have the powers to see who is verifying who. Surely it is in their interests as well as genuine members to get ride of the fakes.

All members genuine or not have the ability to Google or Tineye images and should do so. I know admin deal with thousands of pictures and hundreds of new profiles daily, you only have to look at the pics pages to see that for yourself.

Ultimately I look out for me. Even though I'm a gold member I don't expect admin to nanny me or coddle me. As this site is still free for many many users, I'm always aware of the saying caveat emptor and apply similar when using this site. I rely my own judgement not anyone else's.

Admin - feel free to contact me if you want a few examples of people using fake/copyrighed images.

If you have reported people when Admin get round to doing the reports they will know who you are reporting.

Admin get hundreds of reports a day and this obviously takes time to sift through and to verify the reports are indeed fake.
