WANTAGE

Do you use filters on your pictures?

If so why? Especially if they make a real change to the way you look.

If people are ever snatched off the streets they’ll never be identifiable

I use filtering effects to create artistic pictures, exemplifying creativity and uniqueness from the usual humdrum. I don't use them to augment or misrepresent myself - as in airbrushing my dad bod or making myself less unappealing.

Yes because I can't monochrome myself in real life.

Carlisle usually

Monochrome for Mondays. If I have a temporary zit ruining an otherwise good photo I'd erase that before posting, but usually I just don't take pictures when my skin is playing up.

Otherwise no. What's the point in presenting something that doesn't exist 💜

If I'm taking a selfie, I use a very minor filter that mostly just makes the freckles on my face less obvious. I could put a foundation on but I don't wear much (any) make up so the filter is easier for me.

I don't upload the filtered pictures here though.

Depends on the filter. A good filter can enhance a photo or create the ambiance or look you are after, for example changing to black and white.

That's what baffles me unless you don't plan to ever meet.

Colour change. Once I had a prominent pimple on my butt and I got rid of it.

Not much effect on my actual appearance.

"Oh but we do blur faces and backgrounds. "

That's fair enough, especially as some don't want to be identified for whatever reason

Don’t filter your freckles … freckles make a face so beautiful 💕
