I was stood up three weekends in a row by three different men, it led to me chatting with a couple for the first time and then the lady came over to cheer me up. He kindly stayed home with the kids 🤭 They’re my closest fab friends now.

So I had 7 ghostings/stood up in the space of a week. Twice by the same person! Also seem to be getting a lot of ‘we had a great time but I’m now looking at getting back with my ex’. I must be pretty bad then if they’re looking at getting back with them after being with me!

I also get lots of ‘yeah I really wanna meet you on x day’ then when you confirm it’s ’sorry, made other arrangements now’.

Was also stood up on Sunday evening. Waited in the bar of the hotel I’d booked. No show. Tbh I’m getting a bit pissed with it now and makes me wanna delete my profile….

I've had a few go quiet before meeting. I don't give them a chance to explain themselves anymore. The ones that keep in contact and cancel tend to have genuine reasons and rearrange. I've not been stood up yet but I'm sure that day will come. No matter how careful your selection process is or how desirable you think you are, it can happen to anyone.

I was ghosted by a couple on the morning of our planned meet back when I first joined nearly 10 years ago.

I've had a couple of cancellations with a few days notice from people who never rescheduled. I'm not sure that counts as being "let down", though. Life happens.

Loads of times. Plenty when I first joined and hadn't figured out that the site is riddled with fantasists, bullshit merchants and gobshites. I'm a bit more wise these days and if someone is being sketchy I'll ask to meet at a club or social event. If they don't show then I'm sure I'll find something to entertain me. No doubt there will be the usual comments from those claiming to have never been stood up because they did their "due diligence" but as it is a site which is used for casual sex hook ups as well as swinging I don't want to spend 6 months chatting for 4 and a half minutes of mediocre sex.

Never. Had a couple of last minute cancellations but I'm always prepared for that and the couple concerned are genuine and we always get together later to make up for it. I know life can get in the way.

Where couples are concerned, a family crisis, a blown boiler it's life. We all encounter difficulties.

Newbies get cold feet or a previous offer comes up unexpectedly, last minute work commitments so things get cancelled rearranged it happens.

I expect a cancellation so if it happens it's not as frustrating and disappointing.

Don't give up, things will click and you'll be fighting off offers.

I’m not sure that “let down” is really the right expression though, sometimes people have a change of heart/mind it happens. I’d rather they didn’t show up than go through the motions. As for the perineal teases (talk then run (both male and female)), I think they are fairly easy to spot after being on the site a while. That’s where managing expectations comes in I guess, I never think of a chat leading to anything more than a chat, people are trying to find out if you’re a suitable match, nothing more, nothing less

Quite a few times and has seemed to get worse in the past couple of years. This is from profiles across the board from Newbies to well verified people. We did let it get to us at first, but now we have an attitude of "so what, their loss" and still enjoy our us time together

Will admit its has changed the way we are with messages though, and now any slight sense of possibly being let down is a swift no and block.
