So I'm going away soon and I'm wondering if people abroad use fab?

So if I type in the postcode when I'm there will people show up from the area?

It's often helpful where you get a lot of UK and Irish visitors abroad but you can't set your address from a postcode, like you can here. Amsterdam and Berlin get a steady flow and you'll see dozens in Greece, Spainz Italy etc in summer. In the USA you may be hundreds of miles from the nearest, except in some bigger cities. Australia you'll find similar to the US. You'll need to use the Who's Near and remember that being a site supporter, you'll see a much bigger list of people than free users.

People post into the international subforum areas too, identifying where they are

Who’s near has always worked for me although it obviously depends on how many other Fabbers are in the same location. Generally I’m in The Canaries so it’s ok, used it once in Cape Verdi which was less so.

Used it in America, Wisconsin to be precise, nearest fab user was 2 hours away.

You can set your address. You have to press “desktop version” if you’re using mobile. Then it allows you to do that in your profile
