Just watched Malcolm X get killed in Godfather of Harlem .

Even though I know the history , the story and what was going to happen , it was so well done that it still really hit hard .

The Champ is the only thing that I can remember bringing tears to my eyes when I left the cinema and that was over 45 years ago. It wasn't the fact that the dad died, it was the little boys pain that you could feel in his wailing.

Oh, and the film Shenandoah when I was really young had me crying. It was on the tv so it counts.

Particularly Mr and Mrs Pheasant. She gets shot whilst being a lookout for the others then put in a pie by a farmer. Her husband goes back to see her resting place but bc he's crying so hard he doesn't see the farmer who shoots him too.
