The end was December was awesome and the old year went out with a bang but I've just been icky and ill and rundown and lack lustre the past month. Even my birthday was blighted with constipation ( Sorry 4 the overshare)

This weekend I've just gone to work/gone to bed/gone to work/gone to bed - it sucks.

Had a great night out on Thursday and thought "yay, new year new me" then got the seasonal lurgies again. Feel like crap today but short staffed so cant phone in sick.

Anyways - how's it hanging with you guys. You all OK or are you sleeping with the night nurse?

I’ve had the same problem.

Here at The Continental, we’ve written the entire of January off with Flu, pneumonia, and 🤮 bugs. It’s been fkin awful.

Sleeping is still a big problem. Broken and pretty poor quality. Feeling like a 🧟

Similar to you, OP. Had some lovely moments throughout January, but some tough ones, too. Today I'm feeling quite sad as it's a friend's memorial event on Friday, and as it's been on my mind a lot I had a dream about him last night. Some dreams colour your day a bit, don't they?

Hugs all round. Listen to some favourite music, picture some favourite images, think of a great moment and take a moment to breathe and smile. And if all else fails, grab a cuppa and a duvet and a lovely book

Yesterday felt like a new beginning. Bright sun, enough to feel warm where it was flooding down. Snowdrops out in drifts of gem-glittering white, the first few crocuses blushing purple. Birdsong, daylight lingering a little later, buds visible on a few trees, catkins out in silky profusion. A time to remember that spring is soon to come.

Always suffer a low period, January and early Feb. Combination of the big build up to Xmas and New Year, dark cold days and the fact that most of my hobbies are outdoors. Weeks and weekends feel like they drag and I find motivation hard to come by.

I usually perk up as the daylight starts to get a bit longer and I motivate myself to start to prepare for upcoming golf season.

I also find having a holiday booked to be a big positive.

Anyway enough of me whinging, hope you feel better soon OP, magnesium supplements are good for fatigue and run down ness.

Had Sugary on the 18th of December so that was me not at my best for Christmas. But due to complications I'm still of work and in pain try to walk round the house now and then but mostly in bed.

Having been housebound for the last 2 months has kept me away from that awful flu everyone seems to be having- silver linings and all that.

But the cold and the grey and rain and storms can fuck right off already.

I think many of us feel that and yes so many bugs get passed around and even when you get better still don't feel 100%. We miss the early morning and evening light too. It will all be better soon and hope you will too.

It's certainly doing the rounds. My nose and ears are blocked and head feels like a snot bank atm.

Too bad you can't kill the lurgies with a pencil

January has been the worst month..it always is a looong month straight after Christmas when you've spent far too much money than you should have and then came down with an illness which lasted longer than I wanted which makes you feel grumpy and gloomy. So glad January is over with..February seems to be looking a bit brighter with lots of things to look forward too which makes me happy 😊

Everyone is free to whinge on this post - the gloom is real! I used to be really bad and would just vanish for the winter but now I have to adult so can't chill in the sun until spring is in full swing.

It's the mentals that get affected too. My flat is so dark and damp and depressing. Love it when tbe sun shines through my windows x
