Telly talent shows

Why are there no talent shows for groups..we have things like xfactor, bg got talent etc, but nothing for bands or groups..are the powers that be missing a trick here?..there's so many bands/groups out there that are damned good, but can't get that big break that the telly would give them.

the Beatles didn't to too bad when they 'cut their teeth 'when failing in talent shows.

Don't need them for bands anymore. Social media is their stage now and they'll soon be approached by a record label if they've built up a fanbase. It satisfies they're already popular and a worthwhile punt.
