Myself, my partner & a female friend are wanting to do this event.

Is it trans friendly? It would be my first time going out in a 'vanilla' environment & I'm a tad frit about how I'd be recieved.

It's things like going to the loo I worry about, especially in pubs etc

Cheers sweetie.

With the rise in virulent anti trans BS I'm a tad worried about being out in a vanilla environment.

I have friends in Whitby and have been a couple of times years ago. It was always very inclusive and lgbt+ friendly , I can’t imagine that it’s changed.

Not Whitby but most of the west midlands and South staffs, been out and socially transitioned for two years and using the ladies and nobody's ever been anything but lovely.

I would love to do goth weekend too, been meaning to for years but it's a bit far and as an old creaky woman the steps up to the abbey put the fear of god into me!

Angus, Ayr

Actually the goth and punk scenes tend to be very inclusive (hardcore and oi excluded) with a lot of different characters 👍🏻

We went last year and there were several trans people, everyone seemed friendly and inclusive.

My main worry is using the loo tbh, worried someone will cause a scene.

It's a really welcome and open environment. Anyone who says anything bad about you will be seen as the ones who aren't welcome. Go and have fun 🙂
