"Which book or movie impacted you most growing up?"

Book: The Hungry Caterpillar.

Movie: Back to the Future.

I realise it was a choice but I thought I'd give both...

I read a book at 18 called The Life Situation that made me think about very long term relationships differently . It wasn't all that well written but I re-read it now and again and find it interesting how different I view it over time

Also my parents were/are very religious so the bible has a bigger impact on me than I was aware of at the time.

I read Crash by Ballard the same year that Blue Velvet came out. It was the year I realised that people are strange. We all have kinks

I grew up with a lot of horror. I've no idea why my mum would let us watch the things she did? Lots of video nasties. Even the kids stuff she gave us was dark - watershed down, the animated LOTR, Animal farm along with trippy stuff like the water babies, animalympics and HR puffingstuff.

I started reading Stephen King books at 10 - after seeing "carrie"

I'm always surprised when I meet people who don't think the same thing!

When I was a young teenager I read a book called The Story Of ‘O’, that had quite an immediate impact on me.
