"No the seller would have to remove it for you. Thanks well ive sent them a mailx" Well as long as you have explained why most decent sellers won't have a problem cancelling your bid. Good luck!

"If the auction hasn't finished they should do. There is a bid retraction form you can fill In but then if goes to the seller asking if they accept the reason or not? If they say no and you win then your stuck with it or you will be a non payer and a case will be opened x " Its a light summer dress and i put my bid in, i misread the postage and they want £7.00 for postage, all over items ive had similar has been £3 so i told them the reason, plus its only standard delivery. So if they wont retract i shall get ebay to look into how much they are charging p&p

If they don't accept it then contact eBay for sure! X

"You can withdraw a bid for 3 reasons up to 12 hours before the end of an auction basically you have to say you entered the wrong amount. The other options are cannot contact seller by phone and description of item changed Overcharging for postage ( postal gouging) is also an "offence" on ebay and you should raise a complaint with ebay about the excessive postage Go into the CUSTOMER SUPPORT bar at the top of the page on Ebay and a search box will come up. Type what you wish to know in there and a range of help topics come up Hope that helps" The seller still has to accept the reason and bid retraction though.

Ebay can ban you from buying , but not for a few non paying bids
