Ah, I've just dropped you a line after seeing your status update, without having seen this post first.

Practice is really the best way, as whatever you get told by someone doing it for you, you then have to become adept at putting their words into effect

Thanks, I have been watching you tube, buying better products and practicing and getting better, the only area I really struggle with eyes as mine are older and hooded but getting there.

You make looks fab btw!

Katie Jane Hughes is a makeup artist that does in depth tutorials for people with hooded eyes, I’d recommend her videos, I’ve learnt a lot from them

You could always go for the rock type look.. you can get away with poorly applied make up then.. I've been doing it for years..😹

I use the same and liquid eyeliner. It's what works best for me. Powder is so messy

Use a primer. Any one will do just fine don’t bother with pricey ones. Powder your primer. Then put your foundation on. It will sit much better on your face, stay out without dropping, and last.

And moisturiser before the primer

Thank you all, I will try these tomorrow. It is sooo complicated! But I did enjoy the ease with which the liquid went on tonight and the lip colour has stayed on!

Watch YouTube makeup tutorials.

You can get decent makeup in drugstores to practice with.

You don't need to splurge on expensive items.

Just keep on practicing, it's all trial and error.

The more you practice the better you get.

Then your confidence will grow and you'll start experimenting with bolder looks.

The eyes have it! Getting practice has been instrumental so far.
