Do you ever sit there on your own in a quiet room reflecting on your life and the decisions you have made, both good and bad, and does it make you wish you could go back and live it all again.

I know life is what we make of it and things happen for a reason, however if I could relive mine I'd change so much without any hesitation.

There really isn't much of anything I would change because I like who I am and where I am now.

I have learned from my past mistakes.

Obviously there are things I wish could be different but changing those wouldn't be worth not being here now

I used to, but then I realised that some of the best things in my life came as a result of some of the bad decisions that I had made. We can only do what is right in the moment and with hindsight, that can often feel like a mistake. You get one chance on this earth. Make the best of it. If you make a poor decision, make a second one to reap the best results from it.

I do reflect quite often. It's pointless wishing I could change certain things though because it would make my life turn out completely differently to how it has. I wouldn't want that

I do. I'm quite fatalistic about life, I've missed opportunities and made mistakes in the past and could have done 'better', however you define that.

I'm one of the happiest people I know, a great network of friends and currently content being single and slightly hedonistic.

I made a few mistakes but those mistakes made me a stronger person so don't complain.

I use my past mistakes and missed opportunities to inform decision making now, but I wouldn't change my past decisions even if I could.

I'm OK with where I am now, and I wouldn't want to jeopardise that by reaching for tenuous "better" that maybe I could've reached had I done things differently.

I also don't want to waste my current happiness dwelling on what could've been. I'd rather live in the now.

I don't regret anything but I'm an overthinker so I definitely think about them to understand what I'd do differently next time.

I often sit and reflect and maybe have a little tear shed as I process some more of what I have survived and lived through. Sad tears that I was chosen to endure it. I look on my friends and see how it could of been. But as Andie said 'Its not what you've got, it's what you make of what you've got' that's important

Would I live through it again... fuck no, once is enough.

Often yes I certainly didn’t intend to end up single at 41 doubting that will ever find anyone, it’s hard to regret though as I hate that I gave 15 years of my life to someone but to undo it I wouldn’t have my 2 wonderful kids one of which lives with me full time with the other one planning too as well if I could somehow get those years back but still have my kids would be ideal haha

I've had a wake up call this past week which has made me look long and hard at things. I've realised that I owe nothing to anyone and the only person I have to please is me x

All over

Sadly none of us can change the past but can have input in shaping the future. I do reflect but make sure that stop before any self pity as that is unhealthy. Tbh, I try to count my blessings as when you look around there are so many people who had and having it so much worse than any of us. Learn from the past, live in the present, plan for the future

Quite a lot.

I often wonder what my life would be like if only I'd walked away, or we hadn't moved from Essex to East London when I was a child.

I wonder if I'd left my husband just after my son was born would I have not got so unwell, and met someone decent after him.

I find that kinda reflection a bit pointless. Can’t change the past, not much use in lamenting it. You can change your future, energy better focused there.

Look forward, not back.

Sure you think about the road not taken, but I try and dwell too much on what ifs.

And who knows what opportunities might present themselves in the future that you might not have taken or should have taken in the past.

I'm at where I'm at, I can move forward if I want to, its in my hands.

Ultimately, past versions of myself did what felt right at the time and thats ok.

Its all learning and good to reflect.

I sometimes think... Maybe I should have done something but hey if I did I'd be in jail for ever and ever so I have to accept the fact that the law protest a lot of gobshites and move on.

Apart from changing the gender I was born as, everything I did has led to the person I am now and I'm pretty happy with who I am now so I pay much have to accept the past.

It happened, it's done, now I've got my new beginning and the future is looking ok.

I do reflect all the time. I’m overly nostalgic for no reason. Luckily I’ve had a mostly good life and have ticked off my bucket list decades before I thought I would, so I’m very thankful for that.

It does often leave me wondering, what now?

"Do you ever sit there on your own in a quiet room reflecting on your life and the decisions you have made, both good and bad, and does it make you wish you could go back and live it all again.. "

Yes and no.

Decisions I have made that did not turn out as I intended ? Nope. I do not regret past decisions. They are gone, done, dusted.

.

But I do use them as cues to analyse why they didn't pan out the way they were intended to. I don't beat myself up over them, but I do critically analyse some to see how I could have reframed a better outcome, so that I am more informed or prepared for next time.

Not really, but I often sit on a quiet balcony or on the decking before the sunrise and reflect forward I think carefully about the decisions that I will make.

Everyone fails, makes mistakes and bad choices , it’s part of living. I tend to do it for less the older I get!
