Celebrity chef restaurant food.

Granted my only experience was eating at Gordon Ramsey @ Claridges, but I was wholly unimpressed given the money I paid to dine there.

Cheap dates are fun. IKEA is famous for this and has a cafe and a restaurant in MK.

Have you tried the 'to good go app'? For £4 or so you get a paper bag full of today's fresh food, that's a random mix of breads, cakes and pastries from a certain bakery chain. This is used by supermarkets as well as other bakers. Typically on a good day your lucky bag is worth about £12, others, just £7.
