Even despite the fact I comment on a lot of ‘controversial’ threads I delete comments and log off a lot.

Quite a bit more than I would expect. It's the same people as well. All the fucking time.

Just not worth the hassle. As much as that phrase 'if you don't like something just scroll on' irritates me. I find it's the best thing to do.

So many of the threads in the lounge are political, yet they rarely seem to get moved.

More than a few times.

Usually I end up deleting it for 1 of 2 reasons.

1. No point engaging cos it would be like arguing with a brick wall.

2. I would get a forum ban, or actual ban for the things I would say. Not worth it to engage with someone who is clearly just trying to cause drama

Thank you for all the responses, it's made me feel better to know its not just me!

I usually scroll by the irritating ones but I let one get under my skin earlier and I'm not kidding, I wrote an essay! Decided it was definitely not worth it but not until I'd wasted 10 minutes of my life.

Not the first time and it won't be the last but at least I now know I'm sane
