your scents. Do you do it? Layering different scents apparently allows you to express yourself in new and exciting ways. Starting with the strongest and then layer with lighter, complementary scents to add depth and character. Never done it, except at an airport trying different ones and then smelling like a mobile perfume countet wondering what anyone sitting with me on the plane might think?

It's an interesting idea.

I got a bottle of moschino toy 2 fur Christmas which is really very sweet and lasting. There's a couple of more botanical perfumes I think would later very nicely with it....hmmmmm....

Perfumery is a skilled task. It would be like ordering two well made cocktails and mixing them together. Chances are they will taste worse.

No thanks

This. Even the fabric conditioner smell of my clothes and perfume together is wrong

Unfortunately there is nothing complementary about layering with different complementary scents. Once the top layer dissipates, the base notes of each scent will come to the fore...and often clash. The different scents will have differing longevities, thus creating an olfactory discord.

The best way to complement is to enjoy the entire product line of one scent: cologne, body cleanser, deodorant... ...

After a heavy night out, I have been known to give off an aroma of stale beer with gentle top notes of flatulence if that's what you mean.

No not really. The best I can do is say I’ve used the same perfumed body wash or skin oil as well as the perfume
