Hi all first time posting so please be kind! Interested in views. Been chatting to a lady for a few weeks getting on very well. Met for a social coffee got on very well and continued to chat following. Arranged another meet and I made the necessary arrangements. Chatting right up to the night before. Day of meet I was blocked on here and other channels deleted with no explanation. I'm a grown up so would prefer someone to say just had a change of heart or nerves etc.. Just found it very rude and annoying. Has this happened to others or have you done it. Would like to know the thoughts. Thanks

A similar thing has happened to us a couple of times. The last time the guy didn't block us but just stopped responding to our messages despite us having a date arranged after two socials. We just needed to confirm location and time. We sent him a polite message explaining that we understood that he'd changed his mind that these things happen and we'd be blocking him so he didn't show in our searches.

We did wonder why he'd done it but 🤷‍♀️

I think people find it very difficult to say they've changed their mind. I know I do. I really wish we could normalise being honest about things like that without the fear of people being terribly offended

Sadly this is a very common occurrence on Fab - it will happen to you multiple times. We've been chatting to a couple for weeks, arranged to meet, sorted childcare out and *BAM* ghosted.

So now we have a free night tonight

We had two socials arranged with two seperate solo males - chattered right up to the day of the already planned meet: neither turned up nor sent a message afterwards with an excuse! It’s a poor show people can change their minds or say no thanks they just don’t have the balls

Totally agree. I don't mind being rejected it's part and parcel of fab just be honest and upfront

Could it be she felt guilty maybe and couldn't go through with it. I've read that you're married?.

It's still not on I agree , it takes 2 mins to send a message to say you've changed your mind, then block them.

It happens quite often going on the posts about it op.

She is also married and we had met also for a social. She could as you say had a guilt thought which I fully respect. It is what it is I was just slightly baffled that within hrs it was a complete blockage.

We’ve had the same with a couple of couples - had socials with them both, got on perfectly, play date arranged and then stopped chatting to us and no reason given 🤷🏻‍♂️

We’d rather meet people who are fully invested in us so just see it as a good thing.

Its happened to me aswell, I arranged to meet a couple at their place, they strung me along until saying they wete running late for 3 hours after the planned time. Then they stopped replying.
