I don't send many messages out, but the ones I do, that haven't been replied too. I don't get disheartened. I understand people have a life, I may send another one later on but if they doesn't get a reply, I usually don't bother again. Not one to be pushy or pester.

My tips: deep breaths, chill out and move on with your day.

Send it and then delete it. If she replies then great, if she doesn't then you have no idea if it's been read or not but it won't matter as much.

Been on the scene for over a decade and I'd say no. I've had plenty of amazing experiences, it just takes time and patience, if I have 2 meets a year and 3 or 4 good club nights I'm more than happy with that.

All you can do as a single guy is give yourself the best opportunity for a reply.

A decent profile, nice enticing pics and a good message and it’ll help with getting a response.

I never looked at my sent box when I was on as a single as that is the height of madness doing that!

Nah I'm used to disappointment at this stage of my life. It's how you handle it that matters.

I do send the odd message but they very rarely get read and if they do get read I'm not lucky enough to get a reply so I delete unread messages after a while as most women get swamped so I'm told.

I tend to wink more these days as I'm well out of most ladies age range but winking also doesn't seem to work

Nø. Not at all.

I don't send the first message, unless it's on the back of a forum thread, question, game or challenge.

If it's an ongoing conversation, say, instigated by a woman, then I just assume they are no longer interested.

I tend to stick with winks and only the occasional message. I know that most people ignore winks but most people ignore a nicely written message so I figure what's the difference!

The last introductory message I sent on here was in January 2020 so I can't remember if it was replied to or not.

When I was sending messages I had a 50 percent success rate with replies but then again I wasn't sending a lot of messages. At most maybe 2 or 3 a month and I deleted them as soon as I sent them so I didn't feel inclined to check if they were read or not.

As far as receiving new messages I used to average one a month but now that's more like one every 3 or 4 months.

I did get a bit disheartened in the very early days but haven't in a long time because I'm in full control of my fab experience and don't rely on advice or input from anyone else.

You can’t afford to feel disheartened or the site will eat your soul imo

Have no expectations of replies etc and if you get one it’s a bonus

I only get disheartened if we've been chatting and then I'm ghosted. But never from opening messages not being replied to.

Sunniest Exeter...

Yes.

I know I shouldn't, I know how "the game is played" but when you take the time to tailor a message to a profile (especially as I may only message one profile a month...)

If I didn't get "downhearted" if I don't get a reply then what was the point of messaging, because I would it message if the profile resonates with me.
