... tucking into a home-made celeriac remoulade, along with chunky ham and salad.

The first time I had celeriac remoulade was at Flunch in France, happy days!

What dish/drink brings you happy memories?

Prawn Cocktail - the first time I had it was at my Nanna's 80th birthday party. I was 6 at the time and it reminds me of family together

"What's a remoulade pearl?? X"

.

It's a posh word for "in mayonnaise" I believe, as that's what it is, grated celeriac mixed with mayo, salt and ground black pepper.

The celeriac needs to be quite coarse to make it work, or it will turn mushy in no time.

Flunch used to do a great chocolate mousse that came in a massive bowl. Could never finish it!

Real Tomato Soup with crusty bread.

Reminds me of our first ever holiday abroad, sat on a Greek Harbour at sunset. Just me and the wife holding hands like love sick kids.

Bridgwater - Somerset

A warm salad with bacon lardons and sautéed diced potatoes, plus toms, lettuce, rocket etc.

I thought at the time that I could get into this salad type, health eating lark

I do it for myself occasionally and takes me right back to the Dordogne. Happy days
