So I started a new job recently and quickly found someone I work with on a dating/ hookup app. What would you guys do, should I say hello or just ignore? For context I am a straight presenting guy at work but this was a gay app and I am bi.

Do it. The career will still be there, the opportunity and thrill of shagging a fellow colleague while hiding your true sexuality will not

Absolutely not. Ignore and just flirt with him at work instead! Actually, do you like him? If not, ignore the flirting. Either way, still a no!

Ha ha, he's not my typical type but also I wouldn't say no, hence a bit of a dilemma. General consensus seems to be don't mix business with pleasure

What is your actual dilemma?

To pursue or not someone you work with, who may not appreciate being pursued by a colleague even if the attraction is mutual?

If so think this through to all the possible outcomes and consider if the worst of them is worth it.

Why would you compare having sex with someone and defecating in your dining room?

Just ignore it, but you could ask how their weekend was or if anything interesting happened. If they feel comfortable, they might open up otherwise, just leave it be.
