various reasons, makes legs look longer, bum has more shape if the lady is wearing heels or her foot is angled if she is wearing heels

having a photo taken from the angle of looking up at the subject matter can be more flattering

I tried that once! But by the time i set my camera up, some bastard had swiched the escalator on and she was was miles away!
