Not sure if this is the place, or if its too long to be of interest to anyone but I have been working on some pieces of writing and poetry (yes, I know) and figured I would test one out on you lovely people.

Just one more step, a little more
Reach out that hand, open that door
The world awaits
But you’re just not sure
- Those doubts endure -
You’ve changed so much
Poised, self assured
And yet the fear, can’t be ignored
And so you stay, another day
Your soul restrained, still locked away
This female form you long to share
What if they laugh? What if they stare?
What if no one even cares?
So close and yet so far away
From living true, both night and day
- Be brave my queen, you are ready -
You take a breath, deep and slow
Your heart beats fast, but you know
This is your time, your moment's here
To shed the mask, to be sincere
With trembling hand, you turn the knob
Your future waits...
The door swings wide, light floods in
Revealing you, as you've always been
The world outside, it seems so vast
But as you step, your doubts are cast
Into the wind, they drift away
Your true self emerges, come what may
Some may stare, some may not see
But you stand tall, finally free
To be yourself, in all you do
Your spirit soars, your heart rings true
Each step you take, with growing pride
Embracing the woman you are inside
No longer hidden, no longer afraid
Your authentic self, at last displayed
The future is bright, the future is free
You are loud and proud for the world to see |
