For pretty bland fish like in a fish cake or fish pie. Absolutely yes.

I’m a cheese fiend but I tend to avoid a lot of dishes that use cheese unnecessarily as fat adds flavour and sometimes I think cheese is added to cover the bad cooking behind the dish
