Stayed at the Velvet Hotel on Canal Street. Had a duplex suite and it was a fantastic 'party' space, nice restaurant and bar too, Mrs x

It sounds like it might fit his needs. I'd not heard of it but saw 'expect noise and bass until the early hours', which would put me off but not all, of course. It seemed fairly quiet last Saturday around the area.

We didn't notice excessive noise but did stay out partying until quite late, Mrs x

Whitworth Locke Civic Quarter is brilliant.

All sorts of different size apartments and studios. Very friendly and just across the road from The New Union Hotel
