I've seen a few posts recently discussing that fact the people are finding it more difficult to meet others. Consider yourself lucky.

I have been on this site 3 times and on each occasion I have been abused and threatened because somebody took issue with something I've posted. The latest included a threat to kill me!

I appreciate this is the minority of people but given how anonymous it is and how easy it is to rejoin even once a person has been reported and removed from the site (which someone did and sought me out to threaten me again) I will NEVER consider meeting ANYONE from this site. It's just not worth risking bumping in to one of these idiots.

This is such a shame. I have had the pleasure of meeting some lovely people in the clubs which is the only place I'll meet anyone moving forward (and won't be getting verified when I do).

So, from now on, I'm ONLY here for the shits and giggles.

I look forward to pissing more people off in the Forums soon...

Touch wood we have only had one bad meet on here which did turn nasty we reported it had there profile shut down 3 times but then had to involve police as they crossed a line and left us no other choice

One of the perks of living in the middle of nowhere if someone wants to come out here with ill intent probably get lost in the darkness and fall down an open drain be run over by a range rover with a personalised licence plate or get violated by a squirrel or all 3

I use the fab filters and I've blocked newbies. That stopped all of the trolls, that like to send abuse, delete and run

I don't feel this place is any better or worse than other social media sites. The world is full of nasty people and so how I manage it is by deleting and blocking. Oddly I feel a little sorry for those people as how sad must their lives be to have that much hate against people they haven't met. Stay strong OP ignore the haters x

Unfortunately this seems to be part of life nowadays. It's so easy for people to hide behind the keyboard and be toxic towards others. In the main the people on Fab are amazing. Hopefully it will stay that way.

I'm sorry to read you've had such an unpleasant experience with Fab OP; it sounds really c**p. It shouldn't happen.

If you filter out newbies it will help remove those who rejoin with the sole purpose of being nasty. Or filter out everyone and just focus on clubs and the forum. I hope that it doesn't happen again.

I've had my personal details shared by people I wrongly thought of as friends and my facepic posted in chatgroups by people I've never spoken to or met so how they actually had a pic was telling in itself.

I've had extremely well verified couples threaten to end my fab journey with a few well placed messages simply because I refused to meet them.

I've had a couple of forum celebrities who get an honourable mention in the fabbers we miss threads all the time warning me off the forums because I dared challenge their position.

Strangely enough I've never reported any of them because I took it all with a pinch of salt and I'm not really that invested here anyway but the fact that some of them are no longer able to post in the forums tells me that I wasn't their only target.

As others have already said it's fairly common across social media and I've experienced it on FB when challenging certain local individuals for their misleading info regarding their businesses.

Any abuse/threats should be reported, whether via messages or forum comments. The site doesn't have staff, just volunteers that can't be everywhere all of the time.

Yes people can rejoin anytime. Yes there's a level of anonymity. That's always been the case. Use of filters can help a lot, as can the block button and it's also easy to delete any incoming mail. Keyboard warriors will do what keyboard warriors do and whilst it's not pleasant they're words on a screen from strangers.

All reports are looked into and acted upon by the site admin.

The majority of users aren't an issue. Those that are will only continue the behaviour if they're allowed to do it without being called out and reported.

And negative behaviour includes deliberately attempting to piss people off in the forums........
