Honestly would be very welcome. The more imaginative the better 🤩 the best wins a prize!

A wank works well, I think there have been medical tests done and it’s more effective than most of the prescription drugs

A daily dose of magnesium, listen to bi-neural beats for 30 mins on Alexa/ Google, never fails.

But might be worth a try anyway?

Make sure your room isn't stuffy and well aired.

Good pillows, just recently bought goose feather pillows and much better than fibre.

Failing all mentioned on the thread a good Port and brandy will get you off.

I visually recreate a motorway journey in my mind. Eg Gatwick to Edinburgh. I’m usually asleep by the time I pass Stafford

I wear blue light blocking glasses for at least an hour before going to bed. 🤓

Do they actually work? I’m not sure 🤷‍♂️ But they do make me feel like I’m Cyclops from The X-Men so they’re worth every penny.

Stop trying. Get up, read, listen to the radio, start writing that novel. Someone I know took it to the extreme and got a part time job starting at 3a.m..

My sleep pattern sucks.

I'm lucky that I'm self employed and don't usually have to be anywhere early morning most days, so when I can't sleep I just throw on an oodie, make a coffee (yes, I know...caffeine is a bad idea but I'm pretty much immune to it), turn off the lights and chuck on Netflix.

I usually find myself nodding off either 5 minutes before the end of a film or around episode 3 of whatever box set I'm watching.

The TV turns itself off.

I've tried all manner of options and bar some pretty heavy duty meds that made me feel like shit next day nothing worked. So I just accept it now. 🤷‍♂️

o o OO o o

Watch pimple popping/blackhead removing vids on You Tube. So relaxing!! Although if you have a weak stomach it might not be for you.

I also follow an ASMR artist who does skincare routines (on the viewer) etc in a very very relaxing voice.

There goes my street cred……
