Feel like shit today " My therapist once told me that getting better is just like a car journey. Sometimes there will be detours and roadblocks to navigate, sometimes the car will break down and you have to repair it, and sometimes you have to double back on yourself and try a different route. But you'll get there. Don't beat yourself up for one slip after all the hard work you've done, just make yourself a promise to not let it keep happening. And then keep that promise to yourself | |||

"You've acknowledged it, you’re sat with the feelings you get as consequence. You can’t change what’s done but you know you’re capable of going sober- you've just proved it to yourself by doing 6 months. Ok so you’ve had a wobble but those 6 months still happened and you did that. That’s a huge achievement. Pick yourself back up and go again. Maybe try reflect on the triggers that tempted you back in. How can you minimise them going forward? These things are marathons, not sprints.
