I'm refusing to get any older so it's not something I'm thinking about.

It's usually just another day

I’m forever getting one year older than my brother ever will so it’s painful each time round.

I sort of died several times on the day Diana died. (Several cardiac arrests) And put into an induced coma.

Same.

Birthdays were no big deal when i was growing up and have remained that way. I do try and make my kids birthday special but my own is no big deal. Just another day

Lost my dad just days before my 22nd and my mum days before my 50th so haven't had a birthday party since 1986 and don't really think much about each passing year.

My birthday is very poignant, we should embrace getting older because it's not an option for everyone

My partner passed at 59

Never really bothered. Not sure if it affected things but got sacked on my 18th and now it's just another day I have to do what other people want to make them happy.

i always take the next day off work so i can have a beer or two on my birthday, usually book a hotel for myself making sure its got a nice bar , or a few pubs in walking distance.

you never know if its your last one so always celebrate it big time.

I don't find them poignant but certain birthdays make me assess my life. I'll be 70 in 2026, I can't quite believe it because I was 45 about six months ago...in my head. The proximity of that chronological milestone is making me think 'if not now, when?'

Mine is Guy Fawkes Night, so it's strange celebrating a failed assassination, but celebrated by a lot of people which always made me feel special as a kid!

"ALL THESE FIREWORKS FOR ME!?" 🎆

Tomorrow I'm officially older than both parents before they died. That's mildly disconcerting.
