Had a great debate with my mother yesterday whether 12th night (when they're 'supposed' to come down) starts Christmas Day night or Boxing Day night; either way, took it all down on Saturday; practicality overtook tradition.

Probably tomorrow, although was thinking about keeping the tree up and decorating it with yellow roses. The only issue with that is my tree is frosted so may look silly.

Yesterday. Figured that was close enough to the 12th night (especially as there was confusion as to when to start counting from). Anyway, everything back to normal, including work 'sigh'

"I take mine down on New Year's Day"

I usually eke it out to the 5th - the "traditional" day and also a sister's Birthday, so it's a nice segue from one period of celebrations to another.

But I also did it NYD this time - just felt more appropriate somehow this year, for good reasons.

My daughters two dogs( 12 month old Labradoodles) destroyed my Christmas tree on Boxing Day so I finished the job off by taking the other decoration down as soon as they left.

Saturday, they normally come down Boxing Day morning but left them up longer this year as wasn’t having my daughter till a few days later and didn’t want her having her fake Christmas with no decorations

Later today. Tree first-it's a very small one. Then the light up ornaments, door wreath and other ornaments. I don't have anything dangling or on walls.

I'll clean and dust everything, remove the batteries, and put everything back into their boxes for next year.

Stop it now. He is spinning on his cross!

We took ours down yesterday. We looked around to endure we hadn't forgotten anything and satisfied that we hadn't (we usually do forget something) put the boxes in the loft.

Just before we went to sleep I suddenly remembered the Christmas mat that's in the kitchen

Did someone piss on your cornflakes this morning? Please don’t call names.

I also didn’t put up decorations this year as we didn’t spend Christmas at home. However I am helping take down the decorations at my dads tomorrow

Still got all mine up as I’m lazy. I’ll take it all down this weekend. My cat will be sad to see the tree go as she likes sitting underneath it.
