"If it's a relationship that doesn't exist?" As in someone you've never met before? Sack that right off 💜

"When people ask for your help with a situation they created that they should just sort it out for themselves " Hmm. Might offer advice but generally I find if they created the problem they don't really want your advice they just want to complain about it and get sympathy, particularly if they don't think they caused it.

"Ahhh totally down to the context and my relationship with that person. Mrs TMN x If it's a relationship that doesn't exist?" What’s the context of the request?

"When people ask for your help with a situation they created that they should just sort it out for themselves " Sometimes, yes but we all make mistakes and offering a helping hand even if we feel someone doesn't deserve it is a mark of humanity in my opinion. If the same person comes to me for help a second time in the same circumstances I'd think twice.

"When someone asks for help it's not a time for I told you so's, just help them." I read something the other day on Facebook of all places but it rang true nevertheless ' don't give someone a lecture who needs a hug' I was in early labour with my second child so obviously very pregnant and queuing to return a library book with my two year old. The 2 year old was getting impatient and fidgeting and complaining. A woman approached me and said " I would have that child on reins". I was in a situation entirely of my own making but kindness and a little help would have been so much better than her unsolicited, unhelpful 'advice'.

" People struggle to see past their own lives and how things affect them. We live in a world where empathy is fading which is sad to see. I know it's easier said than done but in these moments try not to take on strangers comments, if you know who you are and that you're a good mom, nothing else is relevant.

This was well over 30 years ago and I was more pissed off than upset. Bloomin old nosey bag...her not you

"A woman approached me and said " I would have that child on reins". " Do they still have those?! I remember my little brother being on reins back in the day. Bless him, he was only 12.
