"Some facts about asses. There are apparently three living species: the Asian wild ass, the Tibetan wild ass and the African wild ass. The African one is the ancestor of the donkey. The African one is bluish gray to fawn, the Asian one is reddish to yellow-gray and the coat of the Tibetan one is a rich chestnut colour, darker brown in winter and a sleek reddish brown in late summer. A male ass is called a jackass and a female, a jenny. The Asian wild ass is the most endangered and nearly extinct. Aren't donkeys really cute?
