We both have a marathon in April, I have a 50 miler in June and 100 the month after. Then we both have a 16 mile local race in Sept and C had asked me to accompany her on her first ultra attempt in November.

The plan is to get back to my peak running form. I should be able to get a marathon PB - my last PB was a few weeks after dropping 10lb from what turned out to be a Giardia infection that took weeks to diagnose and was only a few years ago so age is no excuse.

Hopefully this will translate to a top 10% finish in the two summer ultras and leave me well prepped to begin training if I get my dream race place for Jan 2026.

I'm sure C will be on here to elaborate on her goals.

Continue working with my PT on building my strength for running. Rehab from my ACL & meniscus injury is already embedded into my exercise routine, and can see this never changing - plus I really enjoy doing it.

I plan to improve my fitness, run faster and longer distances. I have entered a road marathon in April, a 16 mile road/trail event in September, and I aim to attempt my first trail ultra in Oct/Nov.

My main goal is just to stay as healthy as possible. Having undergone chemo in 2022, the last 2 years have been tough.

But, having said that, I would be more than happy to still look like this (^^^^^^^^^^) come 31 Dec 2025.

So I will keep doing what I have been doing - lots of walking interspersed with some bodyweight training. Sensible nutrition also.

The rest is in the lap of the gods. As they say - ‘You can plan a picnic but you can’t predict the weather’.

I'm thinking about a return to powerlifting in 2026 so may use 2025 as an extended prep to be at a good point in November when qualifiers start for 2026 competitions.

Bench and deadlift only, squats are out the window.

Given current strength levels a 275kg deadlift and 175kg bench in 11 months is achievable. Come May next year another 15kg ontop of those numbers for competition.

I've really let myself go over the last few years. I didn't always look like this. So this year I am determined to lose the weight I've put on and regain the energy I used to have. I don't care about muscle gain or toning all that much but I wouldn't mind increasing my upper strength which has always been a bit poor.

I'm genuinely at a bit of a loss here. I've been following the same program for a couple of years which has helped a lot, but a couple of back niggles is making wonder how to change things up and maybe reassess my goals from big compound lifts with 1rm testing to more hypertrophy based exercises to just build a good looking physique.

My upper body has no strength at all but to work slowly and consistently through the year on it.

Need to lose at least 15KG. Weighed myself a few weeks ago and I was shocked at how much I have put on over the last 6 months. What hasn't helped is doing 13 hour days for the last 5 months and eating too many take aways as it's convenient. Also going to get back on my mountain bike now I have time. This is exactly what I do. My motivation and desire haven’t gone. It’s just different. I wanna be strong and toned , fit and healthy so that I can enjoy life & look and feel good for me and for others to enjoy 😈

Let’s be honest very few women or into bodybuilding bodies or even six packs and the sacrifices and training resume to get them really gets in the way of life.

I also want to stay injury free and train consistently all year round, and whenever I go super heavy that does not happen
