Started sleeping with the curtains wide open, I am aware this is not the done thing, if anything (placebo) it’s helped regulate my sleep pattern and I feel less tired, thoughts other than at least I’m not a vampire ?

It seems logical to me that it would regulate your sleep pattern.

We sleep much more deeply when we close the shutters because it's so dark

I do this in the lighter months but my bedroom is in the ground floor so I close them in winter for warmth and because of having the lights on earlier in the evening. I felt I slept loads better with them open. Also I’d go back to sleep quicker if I happened to wake in the night.

I do this in the summer but not the winter! The light helps me wake up at a more regular time

I do it in the winter as it is dark and I like to see the sunrise

I have a blind in my bedroom and never close it fully. I like the natural light to come through also helps the air circulate as I sleep with the window open all year round.

It's the done thing for me Gregg cos I am not overlooked.

I like the window open in all weathers too. for some reason I sleep more snugly if the weather is awful and I can hear it and im warm under a duvet.

The only time I close the windows is if the wind is so wild it rattles things and sucks the curtains or blind in and out that drives me insane and keeps me awake

I prefer no blinds or curtains in the bedroom. Which means I’ve always tried to live in places where that was okay. Don’t really want anyone looking in.

I think better to have some natural light come in and it’ll maybe work better when there’s more daylight in the coming months

I keep mine drawn to keep the heat in and save on energy in the winter.
