Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

A few years ago. I felt healthy, it was a lovely warm Easter Sunday, we sat in the garden with Cosmopolitans, friends and neighbours. People I love around me and no one worrying about work the next day. The factor that made it special was being healthy and able to participate.

And being healthy is so much part of that happy feeling, isnt it?

You know this may sound really awful, but I can't remember one past the last two which have been without Dad. This year I moved house (don't move house on your birthday!) and last year I went out for a meal with my friends and family and tried to forget that Dad wasn't there. I must have had good ones, I just can't remember them.

Sometimes a bad memory can overshadow an otherwise happy occasion. I am with you on that - I miss my dad very much on most special occasions.

Yes. a while back. I had just gotten married, the world and the future lay ahead. 3 weeks later the future exploded right in my face!

But I plan to have a few more yet and intend to make those special - even if I have to fly to Vegas to do it!

Every birthday but my 30th has been good. Think i would have to say my best was my 40th, i partied and celebrated for a month.

People are already starting to ask what i want to do for my 50th as my friends and I always celebrate our big ones in style.
