Has anyone had any old 8mm tapes and discs transferred to a stick. Bit worried about ending up on porn sites lol.

You want a "capture card", though most nowadays are external USB devices rather than actual cards. Then you plug in the camcorder to the device like you would connect it to a TV, and connect the device into your PC. You can use software like VLC to do the actual recording.

Amazon offers one for £15 👍
