I see what you mean, and I don't see any reason to stick to the new year formula if you've got a plan you want to get started sooner

I don’t really get the reasoning.

If you wanna ‘get something done’ or ‘kick start’ whatever……just get on with it. Fuck waiting about for some arbitrary date. You might not get to January and you’ll have missed out.
