Any other cold water masochists going for a new year dip, undecided where to go yet, coast or on my tod in the river.

I’ve been out this morning. 450m in 7 degrees - warmer than expected and same as Sunday so it’s holding well.

I've been in the river now levels have dropped and welsh water are not pumping shit in, was 6.5c today

Mine is an old quarry so holds temperatures for a while - highs and lows!

Mine is an old quarry so holds temperatures for a while - highs and lows!

There's an old mine wash pond, the local bluetits use it, not far from me but I prefer the river in general

There’s a NYD charity dip in the North Sea in Aberdeen, think myself and mates are planning going along. We dip regularly anyway, so this is just another excuse
