Gents just wondering if anyone has had this surgical procedure before ? I’m on the list to have it done next year but a little nervous . Just wondering how bad it is and recover ? Also was it done under spinal block or general .

My dad had it done some years ago under general anaesthetic. Although he was uncomfortable afterwards for a few days it didn't affect him otherwise. Mr N had a small lump removed a few years back, again under general and the same applied

Good luck. It's normal to be nervous, you're in expert hands

Thanks for the response , the surgeon talked about spinal block but think I would freak out .

I’m sure it will be ok just worry when it’s something so intimate .

I'm a big advocate of taking the course of action that will cause you the least stress.

You'd need to be superhuman to not worry.
