"This year I put a heavy focus on pole. I only did two classes a week as I find three triggers niggles. But I turned my 3 weekly strength sessions to support pole as well - upper, lower, full and each with an element of core. I had a list of moves I wanted to perfect by the end of the year - got the last one on Monday 😂 - and I moved up to the next class level. Outside of that, I did one or two cardio sessions a week according to mood and time - swim, bike or run. But for once I did these for fun rather than being goal oriented. L" and only one pole pic?! Shame on you!! My year has had its ups and downs, which has meant training has had its ups and downs... I rode the Carten🚲 in May (110 miles, Cardiff to Tenby), did a hefty lap of the Brecon Beacons soon after, but have fallen off the wagon toward the end of the year.😔 Well, I say 'fallen off', it's more like "I crashed the wagon, smashed it up and used it for firewood"!! Start all over again for 2025... 👊 | |||

"It’s been a waste mostly I was diagnosed with diabeetus earlier on in the year but before diagnosis shrank from around 100kg to 84kg now matter how much I ate, spent most of the year getting it under control and gaining back lost muscle, finally back there now profile pic was taken day before Xmas eve probably best shape I’ve been in for last few years a lot of people at the gym noticed an few asking what I’m currently on haha Happy now hopefully can push on in new year no more health shit fingers crossed " Sounds like we have been on similar journeys this year! "It’s been a waste mostly I was diagnosed with diabeetus earlier on in the year but before diagnosis shrank from around 100kg to 84kg now matter how much I ate, spent most of the year getting it under control and gaining back lost muscle, finally back there now profile pic was taken day before Xmas eve probably best shape I’ve been in for last few years a lot of people at the gym noticed an few asking what I’m currently on haha Happy now hopefully can push on in new year no more health shit fingers crossed Sounds like we have been on similar journeys this year! Sorry to hear about your injury Thanks for sharing though. I love doing extensions but I don’t feel like I can squat heavy enough to feel it in my quads. If you set your feet up in the right position it’s impossible to not feel it in your quads. | |||

I recently felt a tweak in the same spot so I'm thinking of taking out deadlifts from my program or limiting them and focusing more on hypertrophy rather than testing a 1rm. I do feel like I'm at a bit of a crossroads with my body in terms of knowing whether I should just commit to a bulk and change my diet accordingly." Well hey there stranger!! | |||
