I've just made a large amount of Brandy butter. I know it tastes right once it makes my tongue go numb.

Anyone else making anything today?

Proper butter, icing sugar and lots of brandy.

Trick is to melt the butter first. Then add the brandy and mix. I then add the icing sugar until you get the sweet taste followed by the burn.

It needs to be kept in the fridge once its jarred up.

Thank you. My dad is the only one who eats Christmas pudding and brandy butter so I can make a small amount just for him. Of course I'll be obliged to taste it and check that the brandy hasn't gone off

That's very kind of you 😊.

I made butter shortbread two days ago so I have the remains of a pack of butter that I can use up so it's all good
