Now I have to ask ….. if a guy is chatty with a woman do they think we’re trying it on?

I only ask as I just had to get something from our admin and I was making small talk (I mean it’s nearly Xmas after all) and she was very cold / awkward ..almost rude …

It's because I don't like them. Could just be that.

I can tell friendliness from chatting up.

Maybe she's feeling depressed, sad, fed up, stressed.

You know this but people sometimes don't respond how you'd like them to and it's nothing to do with you.

They don't necessarily think you're trying it on, no.

Some people are just rude. Having said that, the same goes for men.
