Is it getting worse on here for getting stood up?

Never known it to be this rife. It’s a tad frustrating I must admit

We've never been stood up before. Maybe look at your 'selection process ' if you're repeatedly getting stood up.

I don’t meet people very often, but I’ve yet to be stood up.

I'm seeing a lot more people say they've been stood up. It's horrible when it happens after you've gone to all the trouble of getting ready

I haven't been stood up, 9/9 meets for me over the many accounts I've had on here.

My selection process is good. People who have multiple recent meet verifications.

Guess it’s more of a thing where I’d never dream of letting someone down and if I did I’d communicate it very well

.

Never had it happen (so far) but I'd not do it to someone else either. Shitty behaviour unless of course they have a genuine reason for it.

I wouldn't get ready (not that it takes me long to do my hair) unless I'd spoken (yes, spoken, not sent a message) to them to confirm plans as close to the meet time as possible.

But then I don't meet randomly and almost never anyone that I haven't met ar a club/social or who are friends of existing friends. I've yet to be stood up by anyone using that approach.

Of course things can crop up. But I spent a very relaxing night alone in a swanky hotel this week after a friend had to cancel coming with me.

There will always be a risk when meeting someone new for the first time. But there's an awful lot you can do to minimise/negate that risk should you choose. 🤷‍♂️

I haven't been stood up much. Most of my meets have been great. However I was stood up a few weeks ago, not a nice feeling. Frustrating is an understatement.

Ahhh just bad luck then. Sorry to hear you keep getting let down, it's a shitty thing for people to do. Don't let it get you down though.

Yep... its happening more and more. These low-lifes that deliberately stand people up, have no idea that it costs people money, not just time.

Driving into London, parking up, paying ULEZ only to find that the the people yoy have arranged to meant to meet, are nothing but aresholes.
