Trusting your gut(intuition)

Can you think of a time you trusted your gut and then afterwards were convinced you had made the wrong decision, even regretted it, maybe even tried to undo it , but over time you stick with it & realised no you made the right long term decision, it was just tough at the time and you couldn’t see it, but your intuition knew it.

This is powerful life changing , level shifting stuff. Would love to hear peoples examples if any particularly those not about relationships.

There have been times when i should have trusted my gut instinct and didnt. Times where i've felt this is too good and it rapidly proved to be !

Yes. Always.

Often at incredible cost.

But to not do it - much worse.

I let my head rule my heart once....never again.

Will always go with my gut instinct as it's never let me down yet x

Wherever

My gut is always right and I usually trust it, both on Fab and in real life.

There was only one time on Fab I didn’t and I’m paying for my mistake till this day, mental health wise.

Never again.

My gut instinct isn't infallible but I've never been convinced that I have been wrong or tried to undo anything.

My gut instinct has put me at odds with people numerous times where they just couldn't see what was blindingly obvious to me and on every one of those occasions I have been right. Even to a point once where someone was committing fraud and had fooled a solicitor, 2 estate agents, a bank manager and multiple business owners.

Twenty five years later I still can't believe how right my gut instinct was and how easily everyone else was fooled.

When we say our gut, i think it's actually our head.

We've linked bits of info about a situation based on previous experiences and it makes us feel a particular way...anxious or excited

I trust my instincts. If it feels wrong, it almost always is.

On that side (gut/head) - there's plenty of mounting evidence that both the gut and the heart have data processing capabilities, as does the brain.

I think there are a few pieces of work out there suggesting the heart fires up even before the brain, from the same original stimulus.

A couple of times at work with people's characters.

Once on fab to my detriment... What an idiot.. It was long and brutal

It was only 5.75 inches, and I did apologise 🤷.

Yes that’s right but it feels like our gut. It’s the part of our head that we don’t understand but you are absolutely right. It’s your brain filtering through thousands of situations looking at what you did and how it turned out in an instant second that gives you information on what you should do in this situation for the best results.

It’s got absolutely nothing to do with instinct, which is something completely different, and it’s got nothing to do with your heart

And of course, the feeling and I’ve got the anxious excited et cetera is a side-effect of intuition, not intuition itself

I’ve never heard of that, but I would think maybe , you have some brain cells running down your spine? But that’s still your brain. Maybe the odd one decides to go on vacation to your heart? It’s still brain.

Look, I know scientist but I guess what I’m trying to say is this. If lady squats, has an orgasm & squirts in the toilet, it doesn’t make it pee , or if she pees in a wine glass, it doesn’t make it wine, it’s still pee.

Does that make sense?

Not much .

But this does, and there are plenty of others.
