it was Lego when I was little and the cost of a set was around about £2, my son enjoyed Lego he was into vehicles and machines and they cost about £30, now my grandchildren are into Lego she's into houses, carousels and the cost is now into the hundreds. But the enjoyment is just the same

When we had lego it was a box of bits and you were creative and built what you wanted. Now they are sold as parts for a specific model.

Lego. I loved it when my kids wanted Lego for Xmas/birthdays ect I think I enjoyed it more than them putting it together now they older and won’t entertain the thought of getting Lego it’s sad thinking days of it are over for good now haha

Wish kept the hand held donkey kong game. Orangey brown flip screen game. I had another one too a purple flip screen game. Cant recall what that one was though 🤔

And Matchbox cars. I had hundreds of them. Played with them till the paint came off !

There are a number of YouTube videos that have dropped into my feed, covering classic Christmas toys …. Love watching them - very nostalgic!!

My favourite go to toys of the day were always Action Man, I think I had a Platoons worth! ….. maybe it should have been Barbie!! Where I ended up!

I also remember Evil Knevil, and of course Six Million Dollar man toys.

Great memories of some wonderful Christmas’s as a child …. Thanks Mum an dad - God rest them!

When young, I always wanted a Mr. Frosty slush maker.

I'd see the undeniable joy on the kids face in the Argos book - I just knew I took could be happy if I only owned a cheap, plastic snowman with a void in its torso. Who wouldn't?!

For years upon years I dreamed of recieving the snowy twat from Santa, but alas, never would he appear.

Many moons later, a friend of mine had one in his house.

It was shit.

I was lucky enough to get a Hot Wheels set one year. The loop bit was a bit frustrating but the cars were cool.

Recently bought scalextric set from childhood from Ebay, I should have kept the original set but house move and lost it.

Escalado horse racing game that was a great game too.

Lego. Always loved lego.

I always recall a 1/50 scale black Corgi camper based on a GMC van.

And the year we got an Amstead CPC464 was very exciting.

Oh, and the year we got BMXs. I got a Raleigh Burner and my brother got a BMX with mag wheels but we ended up swapping.

Goid times... Good memories.

There’s a great app that scans loose bits and gives you ideas what you can make

But I agree the best models were down to imagination

I had the 'Race and Chase'. One Corvette and one Police car. Hit a button on the controller and the cars would 'handbrake turn' to go the other direction. There was a see-saw ramp you could either jump at speed or slowly tip to block the other car. That was an awesome Christmas present 🎁❤️🚘🚔
