Cancelled ….. or not !!

So here’s a thing, finally got around to watching House of Cards and if you didn’t know any better, Kevin Spacey doesn’t exist until you press play; he’s not credited by Netflix or in the trailers!

I’m happy to be corrected; Spacey wasn’t actually found guilty of breaking any laws, neither was Johnny Depp and (thus far) neither has Greg Wallace; so it begs the questions …..

Is this the price of being famous in today’s world?

In the public eye and living a lifestyle that others find distasteful, the snowball in hell starts rolling, and you’re buried under an avalanche when society decides ‘you’re fired’.

I’ve noticed Dior using the Depp adverts they cancelled during his trial, more bang for their buck once society decided he’s not a purveyor of domestic violence, or hypocrisy at its finest

Same could be said of most people who get cancelled, most never face a trial where evidence is tested and judged by a jury of their peers to have committed a crime.

Innocent until proven guilty no longer exists.

Also, cancelling isn't restricted to the rich and famous. It's jyst as easy to cancel ordinary people but it's high profile that make the "news".

Definitely not restricted to those who are famous and unfortunately this isn’t a new thing. Sometimes the mud will stick even after it’s been proven that no crime happened

You have to be politically correct at all times if you're not you don't exist, thats the price of fame oh and being recognised everywhere you go .
